Hillary’s FBI interview teed-up her health as a reason for concern.
The disclaimers: I’m not a doctor and don’t play one on TV (<= line is from a 1960s TV commercial) … and I don’t wish ill health on anybody, ever, for any reasons.
That said, let’s connect a couple of dots re: Hillary’s health …
Back in 2012, she fainted and suffered a concussion
That happens, no big deal, right?
Probably just a coincidence, but note the timing:
It happened after the Benghazi terrorist attack and before her Benghazi testimony to Congress … a period of high personal stress, I imagine.
The implication – according to CNN:
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sustained a concussion after becoming dehydrated and fainting, and will no longer testify Thursday before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Retrospectively, husband Bill filled in a couple of pieces …
According to ABC News:
Countering speculation that Hillary was just trying to evade the Benghazi hearings, Bubba spoke up:
The former president revealed that his wife suffered “a terrible concussion that required six months of very serious work to get over”.
Note: See the ABC News article for a complete timeline of events and revelations..
OK, bad concussion … that happens.
No “there” there as Hillary’s campaign folks like to say.
Then comes the FBI testimony and Hillary’s “I forget” defense.
According to the Washington Post recap:
In the three hours-plus that Hillary Clinton spoke with FBI investigators about her private email server on July 2, she cited more than three-dozen things that she could not recall.
Among them were things such as specific emails that perhaps nobody could be expected to remember years later, but Clinton also said she had no recollection of several key moments when it came to her email server, including briefings on how to handle classified information and key conversations about her server.
In at least one case, according to documents released Friday by the FBI, Clinton said she could not recall every briefing she had received after a 2012 concussion, which later led to a blood clot in her head.
OK, just “hyperbole” to dodge an indictment, right?
But, it’s something the she put on the table as a marker.
Now, deja vue all over again (<= quoting baseball philosopher Yogi Berra).
Hillary has a fainting spell … and stumbles badly.
Fortunately, alert Secret Service agents catch her before she hits the ground.
That’s good news, right?
Just imagine if she had bumped her noggin again …
Another 6-month recovery?
More memory loss?
More forgotten briefings?
Sure, there will be questions about her health when stressed … and the implications for governing effectively.
Not a conspiracy hatched by deplorable people.
My take: Sometimes you reap what you sow …
